One thing the story fails to mention is the high level of personal debt in Brazil. Credit card debt is high, and at interest rates that would make Americans incredulous. We saw what happened in the U.S. when people suddenly couldn’t pay high amounts of debt they had incurred. The cost of living is also high. Gas, cars, computers, even many food products are much more expensive than in the U.S. $5 a gallon for gas? Brazilians would love to see that. And the promised boom from oil revenues may not come, since so much of the newly-discovered oil is deep, deep under the ocean, with extraction likely to be extremely expensive, if not impossible.

thank you for the news update Angelina. In local news, a young man mauled and half eaten by a bear, robbed a bank earlier this evening. He was able to flee the scene in the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile before the police were able to arrive. We go back to Kenny at the scene of the crime for more details; what can you tell us about this heinous burglary Angelina?
