The buyer claims to have received it damaged. I filed a claim on the , and has sent me a check for the amount of the item.

Amazon prevents any outside communication, including emails, and of the damage. I have no way to verify that the item is damaged, except his claim. It occurs to me now that there’s nothing stopping him from lying and getting his back. On the other hand, the has already settled the claim, and I have no use for the item if it’s broken.

Should I pay to have the the item to me, or just let him keep it and refund his money anyway?
