So my boss basically stopped communicating with me in october. This past July he promoted me. from October through February I wondered what was up with him. I continued with my job. I finally told him that i felt like i wasnt getting much feedback. He says, well we can go over that next week, i’d like to talk about it in an organized fashion. I said, ok have things been bad? He didnt answer. I knew something not good was coming. So on our regular meeting time he tells me that he has been discouraged with my performance and has put me on a PIP, so let’s head up to HR. I was like, um ok. We get up there with the HR person and he starts going into a spreadsheet that i had difficulty with back in oct. I just ended up crying. He has two employees who are contract employees and he wants them on full time. We are not hiring due to the economy so i think he wants to get rid of me to bring them on. AM i perfect? no, but i dont think it needed to come to this. So i’m on a 45 day plan doing things I dont want to do. I dont know if i should do my best…or just do whatever and wait to get fired? I feel like no matter what i do…he will fire me.
