…in Tool’s album "Lateralus"? On the title track there is use of the in the vocals as well as the . For example, the of the follow the Fibonacci pattern, and the of the chorus rotates between 9/8, 8/8, and 7/8 time. Is this a reference to the 16th , 987? Is the lyric "We’ll ride the spiral to the end &; may just go where no one’s been" a reference to the ?.

I was also told that by rearranging the songs on the album in a certain order, the will seamlessly flow from one song to the next (basically, you can’t tell where one song ends and the next one begins or the end of one song is the beginning of the next). What is the to this? And if this statement is true, what is the arrangement of the songs to complete the order?

The song is full of references to the fibonacci sequence. I hadn’t heard the one with the time signatures, but I’d guess it’s intentional given the rest of their song.

The other thing you’re talking about is commonly referred to as "The Holy Gift". It’s not necessarily that you can’t tell where one song ends and the next begins, but the beginnings of some songs flow very nicely out of the end of others in terms of tempo, tone, progressions, etc. Here’s an article that explains it very well:

Awesome album by an awesome band though! :)
