The dollar, the pound, the Euro, the yen–all arrive at a specific value based upon supply and demand. This sounds almost disingenuous, but the pound is worth more than the dollar because currency traders are willing to pay more for it.

Can people make money trading currencies? They sure can, but in its purest form requires a huge investment. The vast majority of the time a currency moves a tiny fraction of one percentage point a day. What’s a million times one-tenth of a cent?

Fairly new to the marketplace are currency-based exchange-traded funds. Traded on the New York Stock Exchange, these funds let even retail investors speculate on the fluctuations of a number of currencies.

    You bet they can,BIG money!
If you wanted to live in Mexico you could buy a lot of their currency for near nothing.
They are tearing down our currency to "level the playing field" for everyone else.
    Look up Pat Kiley.
